Announcing NFCA's Webinar 60+: Meeting the Needs of the Mature Celiac

The NFCA is great about helping to educate the public about Celiac Disease.  No better time like Celiac Disease Awareness month to hold a brand new webinar that is geared towards those over 60 years old.  Did you know that 30% of those newly diagnosed Celiacs are over 60?  I didn’t.  This webinar is designed to help those who are diagnosed with Celiac Disease when they are over 60 and their caregivers, too.  More information on the webinar:

Join NFCA as Veronica Alicea, M.B.A., R.D., a well-known dietetic consultant in the celiac and gluten-free fields, leads an hour-long discussion on the increasing number of celiac diagnoses in the mature adult population. The Webinar will also provide expert advice for fellow dietitians on how to best care for this unique population.
Veronica will:

About Veronica Alicea (Ronni):

Ronni Alicea is a consultant dietitian for residential care facilities where she assures proper food and nutrition services. She manages a private nutrition practice and is the dietitian consultant for several gluten-free and allergy-free companies. She recently started Celinal Foods, a food company that addresses gluten-free challenges of noncommercial foodservice staffing with convenience and portion control. Ronni writes and speaks on issues concerning managing food and allergy diets nationally for consumers, dietary managers and healthcare providers. Veronica earned a BS in Human Foods and Nutrition from Rutgers University and an MBA from Seton Hall University.
