Atlanta Gluten and Allergen Free Wellness Event, May 5, 2013

gaafwe_rgb - Copy (2)This weekend, the Atlanta Gluten & Allergen Free Wellness Event will be held on Sunday, May 5, from 11am-5pm.  If you live in the Atlanta-area, this is an event not to be missed.

This event will include a full day of  exploring gluten-free vendors, tasting endless gluten-free samples, and a full schedule of nationally-known gluten-free speakers including:

Carol Kicinski , cookbook author, blogger and founder and editor-in-chief of Simply Gluten Free magazine

Jules Shepard, of Jules Gluten Free

Leah McGrath, Ingles Markets dietitian

Julie and Charles Mayfield, authors of  Paleo Comfort Foods: Homestyle Cooking for a Gluten-Free Kitchen

Chef Tracey Bloom, co-founder and executive chef of Free Cuisine

Michelle Kelly, founder and owner of Pure Knead

Chef Sue Snape

Chef Ken Immer

The vendor list is extensive and includes national brands to local Atlanta-area bakeries.  I have to say that it is events like these where it feels really great to be able to feel “normal” and not have to ask endless questions about what we can and cannot eat.  It is such a treat!

Tickets will be available at the door for $10, children 13 and under are free.

The event will take place at Gwinnett Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Prkwy Duluth, Georgia, about 30 minutes north of Atlanta.
