Bob’s Red Mill Offers One of the Largest Selections of Gluten-Free Products

The variety of gluten-free products that Bob’s Red Mill offers never ceases to amaze me.  I’ll reference their site for recipes or links and the selection seems to grow each time I visit.  While there are many companies that are making & selling gluten-free baking products these days, I would have to say that Bob’s Red Mill offers one of the largest selections.  Not only is their line of gluten-free products one of the largest, but one of the oldest around, too, as mentioned by our very own Tiffany Janes here.

Bob’s Red Mill is also one step ahead of many other companies in using a dedicated gluten-free facility.

Bob’s Red Mill’s line of gluten-free products is manufactured in the company’s dedicated gluten-free facility. Lab- testing is performed during the production of each batch using the R5 Elisa Test to ensure gluten-free status.

Bob’s Red Mill stone grinds gluten free flours in a dedicated facility free from wheat and other gluten containing grains and derivatives. High quality-control standards are set in place in the gluten free facility and staff members are educated in good manufacturing practices. Ingredients are segregated and each line is thoroughly cleaned between production runs. The gluten free symbol informs the consumer that these products are not only produced in a dedicated facility, they are also batch tested for gluten before milling and after packaging. In an effort to better serve allergen sensitive consumers, the gluten free facility is also dairy and casein free.

Bob’s Red Mill products can be ordered straight off of their website, from Amazon.com or from many local & mainstream grocery stores across the country.  Some of our favorite Bob’s Red Mill products include the GF pizza crust mix, GF pancake mix, coconut flour, flaxseed meal and polenta.  I just found out that the pizza crust mix is used in one of our local restaurants!  I was shocked when I found out it was Bob’s Red Mill – it was thin, crispy & chewy all at once and when I made our version at home it was a little thicker.  Guess having a pizza oven makes a big difference, huh?
