I had the opportunity to sample some of Boulder Canyon’s newest flavors in their product line up. I first sampled the “Totally Natural” Kettle Cooked Chips over the summer and was really excited to give some other varieties a try.
Red Wine Vinegar Kettle Potato Chips. These were amazing! I am not normally a fan of vinegar potato chips, so I wasn’t expecting to like these. I am glad that I kept an open mind because these might just be my new favorite potato chip. I had to fight my husband over these! As a matter of fact, I went to get into the second bag that we had and it was gone!
Next in the line up – Tortilla Chips made with Hummus & Sesame. Again, I was hesitant with these chips because I sometimes have a problem with sesame seeds. I went into this thinking I would sample just one and let my family eat the rest. That way I had tasted them, but wouldn’t get sick. There were not a lot of sesame seeds, and to be honest, I couldn’t keep my hand out of the bag! These were awesome tortilla chips! I love that ingredient list is simple and easy to read. It is possible to make a great tasting product without all of the chemicals that some of the chips on the market have in them.
Finally, I tried the Rice & Adzuki Bean Snack Chip – Sweet Lemon & Cracked Pepper. I didn’t know what to expect from these chips. At first I wasn’t overly impressed – it seemed like an odd combination of flavors to me. Then I found myself wanting more. They are actually pretty good and a nice change from the normal chips out there.
Boulder Canyon chips can be found in stores across the US. While a lot of Boulder Canyon products are gluten-free, be careful to check the label to confirm gluten-free status. The gluten-free products will be clearly marked.
