Canyon Bakehouse Focaccia 2 Ways

We received some complimentary products from Canyon Bakehouse a few weeks back.  One of those products was their amazing focaccia bread.  When I opened the box of food, I immediately smelled the rosemary from the focaccia!  Our very own Anne Steib wrote about some of Canyon Bakehouse products last year.  More about Canyon Bakehouse:

Canyon Bakehouse is a dedicated gluten free bakery located in Loveland, CO. Our mission at Canyon Bakehouse is to create delicious gluten free bakery products the whole family will enjoy!

Our products are made the old-fashioned way along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in our dedicated Gluten Free Bakehouse. Our unhurried Artisan process and our carefully chosen ingredients give our products the flavor and texture you’ll love!

We not only enjoyed the focaccia bread right out of the bag at room temperature, but Jon asked me to make him a couple of different sandwiches with the bread.  I will share the recipes below.

Pizza Stuffed Focaccia

  • Canyon Bakehouse focaccia bread
  • Prego Three Cheese Sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Hormel pepperoni

1.  Slice focaccia bread, but not all the way through.

2.  Stuff with fillings and close as best as possible.

3.  Toast in toaster oven until cheese is melted.

4.  Enjoy!

Grilled Turkey & Cheese on Focaccia

  • Canyon Bakehouse focaccia bread
  • Deli turkey
  • Cheese of choice (Jon likes shredded cheddar or American)
  • Butter

1.  Preheat pan or panini press.

2.  Slice bread & spread bread with butter. (I spread the butter on the sliced sides, placing the outsides of the bread together in the middle.)

3.  Assemble with meat & cheese & grill in pan until golden brown & cheese is melted.

4.  Enjoy!

*Consider adding your favorite sandwich toppings such as pickles, relish, mustard or hot sauce after grilling.

I made the above in a pan, but think that a panini press will work much better.  I placed a smaller frying pan upside down on top of the bread to “press” it, but still had to apply more pressure because the bread is so thick.

In addition to the focaccia bread, Canyon Bakehouse also offers a number of other fantastic bakery products including hamburger buns, muffins and several different bread varieties.  Their products can be found on the Canyon Bakehouse website and in many store locations across the US.

***The focaccia bread we used in these recipes was sent to us free of charge.  The opinions in this post are mine and were not influenced by anyone or anything.
