			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Here is an interesting video of Celiac Disease seen on Wireless Capsule Endoscopy.  The video includes images from small bowel, showing absence of villi and scalloping Celiac disease is an immune-mediated disorder that primarily affects the GI tract. It is characterized by chronic inflammation of the small intestine mucosa that may result in atrophy of the intestinal villi, malabsorption, and a variety of clinical manifestations, which may begin in either childhood or adult life.</p>
<p>Patients with celiac disease may also have diabetes, anemia, osteoporosis, neurological problems, malignancies, and show behavioral changes. Family members may also be positive for celiac disease.</p>
