The wonderful new French Meadow Bakery Gluten-free Tortillas are rolling out to stores nationwide. The company has offered to give FIVE of our readers a FREE product coupon – this is not a discount coupon but a coupon to be exchanged for a pack of the new fabulous gluten-free tortillas. They are Kosher and free of gluten, lactose, casein and peanuts.
In case you have not tried these tortillas, all I can say about them is that they are the only ready made gluten-free version that is anything at all like a wheat tortilla – that we’ve found anyway. In fact, they are pretty much like a wheat tortilla except of course they are wheat and gluten free!
Maybe one day some Mexican restaurants will use these incredible tortillas to make enchiladas with. There are a couple of places that have dedicated fryers for corn and wheat products near us. It’s great to be able to have save chips and tacos but I really miss being able to order enchiladas with red sauce. Enchiladas are sort of like pizza for us, falling into the category of things we never made at home when I ate gluten.
If we wanted Mexican food in the past we usually went out for it. Occasionally we made tacos but that was the extent of our Mexican culinary adventures at home. Once we found out that seemingly every Mexican red enchilada sauce in Atlanta contained wheat, we started making enchiladas at home with corn tortillas. We also make an easy enchilada casserole, which is less time consuming than making individual enchiladas.
When it cools off a bit here we’ll be using the great French Meadow Bakery gluten-free tortillas for our enchilada casserole again. They are a little too small to make individual enchiladas with, unless you want really tiny enchiladas. But they would make a small taquito pretty well, I think.
Please note that not all French Meadow Bakery products are gluten-free. Many stores here have the gluten and gluten-free items next to each other in the freezer cases. As always, reading labels carefully is needed to make sure you don’t arrive home with something you can’t eat.
If you would like to try these tortillas for free, please leave a comment below. Five random winners will be chosen on Friday, September 19th. Coupons will be mailed directly from French Meadow Bakery to winners. Everyone can also print a discount coupon for a gluten-free product here. This can be used in retail stores or at the company’s online store.

This is awesome! I would love to try these tortillas!
Thanks for the giveaway!
I had a French Meadow cookie that was amazing, and I would love to try the tortillas!
I tried these tortillas and they were good – I just wish they would make them bigger! They do make an excellent enchilada casserole though.
I know! I actually had small corn tortillas in the freezer when and was surprised to see that the FMB ones were smaller than those! The company rep. I spoke with said there are no plans to make larger tortillas at this time but they could look into that if the small ones sell well enough.
Have yet to try these but would love to.
I love anything gf French Meadow produces and think tortillas would be awesome. I don’t think I even remember what the real ones taste like so I’m excited about trying them. Now, it will be just as simple for me to make a sandwich as my family who loves wraps.
Mmm… tortillas. We make tacos at home, but the soft corn ones don’t quite seem to cut it like the flour ones used to.
I have been craving real tortillas more than anything else lately
I would love to try these tortillas! I too have been craving “real” tortillas!
In gluten days, we ate home-made tortillas daily. We sure miss the versatility and flavor – haven’t found any gluten free acceptable substitutes so far. Am anxious to give these a try.
