Enjoy a Gluten-free Lunch and Meet Santa!

How would you like to enjoy a gluten-free lunch and meet Santa? Well, if you live in the East Greenwich, Rhode Island area, you can do exactly that! The Grille on Main, located where else but on Main Street, is hosting Santa every Saturday during lunch time until Christmas. The first event was November 28th, but we didn’t get notifcation until this week.

Celiac Listserv post -

For those Gluten Free friends, families and kids! We recently heard that the Grille On Main will be having pictures and lunch with Santa. Any questions call the Grille On Main 885-2200.

Enjoy a GF lunch with Santa! Instead of waiting in the long lines at the mall to bring your kids, nieces and nephews to see Santa…go on down to the “The Grille on Main” in E.G. Over the next four weeks on Saturdays have lunch, drinks and a visit with Santa and get your picture taken with the big guy… Kill two birds with…one stone…STARTS TODAY!

The restaurant’s extensive gluten-free menu is sure to please and you’ll get to see Santa while dining, making the meal all the merrier. If you have gluten-free kids, this is even more special but as a big kid myself, I’d go in for lunch if I lived in the area! Santa will be at the Grill on Main from 11:30 to 1:30 and you can even have your photo – or your kids photos – taken with jolly ‘Ole St. Nick!

The Grille on Main offers gluten-free Crispy Calamari, which is lightly battered in quinoa flour – sounds fabulous to me! There are two sizes of gluten-free pizza, including a chicken, goat cheese and red pepper option called The Famous Number Three. The more adventurous gluten-free diner might order the Mashed Potato Pizza – I’ve had something similar in the Atlanta area and it was incredible! The restaurant even offers sandwiches made with gluten-free bread. This place really has something for everyone!

The Grille on Main is owned by Pinelli Marra Restaurant Company which owns seven establishments. At least six of them have gluten-free menus! I’ve never been to Rhode Island or heard of these places but they look like the places to go if you’re gluten-free in the area.

Special thanks to listserv member, Alan DePalo, for letting us share this exciting news with our readers – and for the wonderful idea!
