Enjoy Life Creates a Gluten-Free Survival Guide

Enjoy Life Foods was founded in 2001 and launched in 2002 with a broad product line that is free of the “Top 8″ allergens. The products contain no wheat, dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, shellfish, fish or soy. The product line includes bagels, cereals, cookies, granolas, snack bars, candy bars, trail mixes and chocolate chips. I am a huge fan of the trail mixes and granolas.

I love to support & talk about companies that go above & beyond for those of us who have to follow specialized diets. Making life easier is priceless in this day & age when life seems so hectic all of the time. I just got news of a new Survival Guide created by Enjoy Life Foods that is available online. If you would like a copy, you can request a copy here. This guide is a wonderful resource for anyone who eats any kind of special diet where omitting one or more ingredients becomes a challenge.

In the guide there are several different pages with all kinds of useful information. The first tab or page, “Don’t Worry, Eat Happy” talks about many different allergies/sensitivities. Each ingredient is described and then there are notes on where that ingredient may be found. Next up is “Special Diets Explained”. This tab has information on Celiac Disease, food allergies, Autism, and food intolerances. Then “Food Labels: 101″ talks about what is required to be on a food label, the differences between wheat & gluten, dedicated facilities, common allergens and much more. “Just the Facts” briefly covers the definitions of Celiac Disease, food allergies, food intolerances & Autism. “Cooking & Contamination” has 10 quick tips to stay safe at home and when dining out. Last, but not least, “Helpful Resouces” has a wealth of information, complete with links to many sites with information pertaining to Celiac Disease, food allergies & intolerances and autism.

Enjoy Life also has a new cookbook on the market: “Enjoy Life’s Cupcakes & Sweet Treats for Everyone!”, which joins their other book, “Enjoy Life’s Cookies for Everyone!”. Here is some more information about both of the books:

150 Delicious Treats that are Safe for Most Anyone with
Food Allergies, Intolerances, and Sensitivities

Enjoy Life’s® Cupcakes and Sweet Treats for Everyone! offers allergy-free cookies, brownies and bars that are safe and delicious. Each of the 150 recipes are gluten-free and allergy-friendly (NO: wheat, dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, egg or soy), thus taking the guesswork out of determining which recipes are safe—and which are a risk. Author Betsy Laakso, an Enjoy Life Foods employee, brings her expertise of crafting delicious and safe recipes that are both healthful and allergen-free.

The books can be purchased at Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble or Border’s.

Make sure to pass this guide along to friends and family that may be newly diagnosed or maybe even trying to figure out why they just don’t feel good. If they had been putting off seeing a doctor to see if gluten could be a problem, perhaps after reading this guide they will see that the gluten-free diet really is very doable.
