Thanks to a heads up from Alison of Sure Foods Living, it looks like she has confirmed that Gimbal’s Candies are not only gluten free, but allergen free in general. This means their foods and facilities are free of peanuts, nuts, dairy, eggs, gluten and even soy!
According to Alison:
They make jelly beans in 41 flavors, none of them peanut butter (unlike Jelly Belly that told me peanut-allergic people should avoid all of their products because they produce one peanut butter flavored bean.)
Gimbal’s also makes Licorice Scottie Dogs, free of the wheat that is found in almost all licorice. Scottie Dogs come in Black or Red. There are other specialty candies too.
If you’d like to hunt down some of these candies, Alison also mentions that their candies can be found in places such as Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, KMart, and Shop Rite. Great find Alison!
