Honey Stinger Introduces New Gluten-Free Products

I have been a long time fan of Honey Stinger Gels to help fuel my long runs, but have always been a little bummed that their Organic Waffles weren’t gluten-free. Many of my running friends use them on their long runs as fuel and really seem to like them. I received an email early this morning with the fantastic news that Honey Stinger is debuting a couple of new products this week at a cycling trade show in Las Vegas, including Gluten-Free Organic Stinger Waffles and Protein Energy Chews.

The new Honey Stinger Gluten-Free Waffles will be available in three flavors:

  • Cinnamon
  • Salted Caramel
  • Maple

This isn’t your traditional waffle that you make at home or purchase in the frozen section of your grocery store. These were inspired by the traditional stroopwafel, a waffle made from two thin layers of baked batter with a syrup filling. Honey Stinger uses organic honey and other organic ingredients as opposed to syrup. They will be available beginning in January 2016 in a single serving package for $1.49/each.

The Protein Chews will also be available in January 2016 and will be offered in three different flavors:

  • Raspberry
  • Juneberry
  • Cherry-Lime

The Protein Chews are the same size and have a similar texture as the original Organic Energy Chews, but will contain fiber and 5 grams of plant-based protein. They will retail for $2.49/package. Look for Honey Stinger products are your local specialty sporting goods retailers, natural food grocery stores and the Honey Stinger website

I can’t wait to try the new gluten-free Honey Stinger products out in January!
