Julian’s Recipe Debuts Gluten-Free Pancakes

I found out through a little bird (Twitter) about a new gluten-free pancake that is getting ready to hit the market from Julian’s Recipe

I am a big breakfast food freak.  I love waffles & pancakes; bacon & eggs; warm bowl of oatmeal on a chilly fall day.  While I can think of a couple of other companies out there making frozen gluten-free pancakes, Julian’s has one that is really beckoning to me: Belgian Chocolate.  The chocolate is just one of 3 different varieties from Julian’s.  The other two are buttermilk & blueberry.  More about the pancakes from the Julian’s Recipe website:

Julian’s Recipe was founded by Alex Dzieduszycki and his son, Julian.  Alex is also the founder of Alexia Foods & Terra Chips.  These new pancakes will be be certified gluten-free, so there should be no cross contamination concerns.  The pancakes should be able to be found in Whole Foods, Safeway & Kroger stores.  Click here to find the location closest to you.

I am a big fan of Alexia Foods.  I love their sweet potato fries and they now have sweet potato puffs – tater tots made out of sweet potato!  The only potato product they make that isn’t gluten-free is the potato bites.  As always, remember to read the label, as it will be clearly labeled.

Have you spotted & tried these pancakes yet?

I got to try the chocolate chip pancakes at the Summer Fancy Food Show in July. They were delicious even without butter syrup at room temperature! Last month I found all the flavors at Whole Foods and picked up the other two flavors. So far I think I like the Buttermilk flavor best, but I’ve not had the chocolate chip version hot yet 😉
