Larabar to Introduce New Flavor in January 2012

Do you like mail?  I do, as long as it doesn’t include bills!  When I saw a box from Larabar in my mailbox on Monday, I was thrilled!  Larabar has been consistently adding new flavors over the years.  Come January 2012, they will be introducing their newest flavor:

Cappuccino joins 19 other Larabar flavors and 4 Jocalat flavors currently in the line up.  Talk about something for everyone!  The newest Larabar has only a handful of ingredients, just like the other bars.

Dates, almonds, cashews, coffee, vanilla extract.

The bar is gluten-, soy- and dairy-free, kosher, vegan and non-gmo.  Nutritional stats: 200 calories, 10g fat, 5g protein, 4g fiber.  The best part about this bar is the taste. It is a fantastic treat to have with your afternoon coffee!  The coffee flavor in the bar is just perfect and not overwhelming in the least.  I look forward to keeping my purse stocked with these!

I found out an interesting fact about Larabars that I wanted to share.

Will a Larabar freeze or melt?

If placed in the freezer or outside in cold temperatures, LÄRABAR will become firmer, but will not freeze. Similarly, LÄRABAR (with the exception of the flavors containing chocolate chips) will not melt when heated.

I thought this was a great piece of information seeing as I know many people like to take the bars and keep them in their car, purse, backpack or gym bag for emergency snacks.

Larabars can be found in stores across the US and Canada, though not all flavors are available in Canada.  They can also be purchased online in the Larabar store, or

Do you have a favorite Larabar or Jocolat bar flavor?   Is the cappuccino a flavor you look forward to trying?  What flavor Larabar would you like to see added to the lineup next?
