The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA) is hosting a webinar on February 7, 2012 in recognition of American Heart Month.  Anne Roland Lee MSed, RD, LD, Director of Nutritional Services for Schar USA will be the guest speaker.  More about the webinar:

Focusing on the positive aspects of living gluten-free while being heart healthy, Anne will:

  • Define what a heart healthy lifestyle is really all about.
  • Share recommendations for increasing the fiber and decreasing the fat without sacrificing any nutrients or flavor in the gluten-free diet.
  • Explore ways to include healthy grains and still have time for exercise and activity.
  • Identify ingredients that you want on your nutrition label.
  • And more!

This webinar will include a Q&A session. Attendees can submit their questions on heart health and the gluten-free diet to Kristin Voorhees at kvoorhees@celiaccentral.org. Deadline for questions is Friday, January 20, 2012.

Please note above that the deadline for question submission is today, so if you have something on your mind regarding this topic, click on the email above to submit the question.  Otherwise, the webinar will take place at 8:30 PM EST on Tuesday, February 7th.  All you need to do attend is register here.
