NFCA Webinar: This Celiac Life: The Realities of Living with Celiac Disease

Yesterday, September 13, 2015, was National Celiac Awareness Day. If you, or a family member, have Celiac Disease, make sure to check out this page about how to talk to other family members about being tested. The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness is a wonderful resource for all things relating to Celiac and the gluten-free diet, including a symptom checklist.

Next up in the NFCA Webinar series comes “This Celiac Life: the Realities of Living with Celiac Disease”. Living with Celiac Disease is more than just following the gluten-free diet. It changes many things, including how we adjust to the challenges of eating outside of our homes. More about the webinar:

Everyone has large and complex networks that play a role in our health, happiness, success and satisfaction in life. A person’s network can be significantly impacted by a life-changing event, including the diagnosis of a chronic condition like celiac disease.

Celiac disease affects more than just the food we eat – it presents a unique set of challenges within our networks at home, work, socially and beyond. Through the exploration and understanding of our own networks, we can learn what steps to take in order to better manage celiac disease and live gluten-free.

Join the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA) as Glenna Crooks, PhD, founder of SageMyLife, takes you through one individual’s journey before and after a celiac disease diagnosis and dives into the many ways that a celiac disease diagnosis can impact the relationships with those around us.

The webinar will take place on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 2PM EDT. All that is necessary to attend is registration here and having a working internet connection. Once you are registered, you will receive an email with further instructions. If you can’t attend, the webinar can be found in the Webinar Archives usually within 72 hours.
