O & H Danish Bakery was one of my favorite places to order specialty baked goods from before I started the gluten-free diet. Each year my mom would send my sister and I each a Kringle from O & H Bakery for St. Nick’s Day. St. Nick’s Day is a holiday that is celebrated on December 6th in Europe and also Wisconsin. We are not from Wisconsin, but my brother-in-law is. His mother would send them a Kringle from O & H Bakery for St. Nick and my mom picked up the tradition. I didn’t argue, as the Raspberry Kringle was amazing. After starting on the gluten-free diet I never thought I would be able to enjoy anything from O & H Bakery again. I was wrong.
O & H Danish Bakery, located in Racine, Wisconsin, now has a few gluten-free options. They are not the beloved Kringle, but I love that they have gluten-free choices for those who can’t have gluten. The gluten-free options include Triple Chocolate Brownies and Coffee Cakes. The brownies come in a 6-inch circle (1 lb. 5oz) and are sold in increments of 1 ($12.95) or 2 ($23.95). The coffee cakes ($21.95) come in 2 flavors – Blueberry Cream Cheese or Pecan Sour Cream and are 5 inches in diameter.
If you are looking for a nice gift to send a gluten-free friend or family member for the holidays or any other occasion, these are a great idea!
