I’ve always felt that the internet has been a great resource for people with Celiac Disease, but it can’t replace having a nice Celiac support group.
Over the coming months, I plan to feature a number of Celiac support groups located around the United States (or outside of the United States). If you are a member of one (that has a website), or know of one, please contact us and we’ll feature it in a future post! You’ll also want to increase your support group’s exposure by adding it to our Celiac Directory.
For this post, we are featuring the Oklahoma City Celiac Sprue Association, which was passed along by reader Cara Goedecke. OKCeliac.com has a great website setup, as it features resources for anyone with Celiac Disease, as well as a lot of local information for the Oklahoma City area. It looks like they also have a message board, which is a great way for people to interact in between support group meetings!
if you’d like to attend a meeting, it looks like meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month at Integris Baptist Hospital. Check out their official website for more information!
