We all know how busy weeknights can be. Getting home from a busy day at work or school and trying to feed yourself and the kids before you have to rush off to the next activity, can be tough. Picking up take-out can get expensive and unhealthy, but it can also be difficult when having to follow the gluten-free diet. This is where Annie’s Homegrown Creamy Deluxe Rice Pasta Dinner aka Mac & Cheese, can come in handy.
This meal couldn’t be any easier to make. Simply boil the pasta and then squeeze in the packet of creamy cheese sauce once the pasta is drained and it is done! To add an extra protein kick, consider adding in a can of tuna. The mac & cheese has a great, creamy flavor. I did add tuna to mine and this dish was reminiscent of the tuna casserole that my mom used to make, but much less labor-intensive.
There are 3- 1 cup servings per box if you are using this as your main dish. The box could easily be stretched to serve 4 or 5 if you were to use this as a side dish. There is a recipe on the side of the box for lasagna using the mac & cheese for a new twist. If you struggle for gluten-free lunch ideas to send to school with your child, consider purchasing a thermos and sending this mac & cheese for a nice treat.
Annie’s Creamy Deluxe Rice Pasta Dinner can be purchased in many stores across the US or online (and on sale right now). Have you tried Annie’s mac & cheese? What is your favorite way to eat mac & cheese?
