Review: Bob’s Red Mill Gluten-Free Muesli

I am all about quick and easy breakfast, especially on school days.  Not only am I looking for something to fuel the kids through the morning, but something for myself as well.  Bob’s Red Mill has a wonderful selection of gluten-free products and just added Gluten-Free Muesli to the line-up.

Gluten Free Muesli is based on a cereal originally developed over 100 years ago by a Swiss nutritionist. Enjoy as a hot breakfast or eat it cold with milk or yogurt. This muesli is a gluten free mix of rolled oats, brown rice crisps, raisins, dried apples and cranberries, sunflower seeds, almonds, roasted soy beans, pumpkin seeds and coconut flakes.

Whole Grain Gluten Free Rolled Oats, Raisins, Sunflower Seeds, Dried Cranberries (Cranberries, Sugar, Sunflower Oil), Dried Apples, Brown Rice Crisps (Rice flour, Rice Bran, Honey, Calcium Carbonate), Dry Roasted Soy Beans, Almonds, Coconut and Pumpkin Seeds. *Manufactured in a facility that also uses tree nuts and soy.

I couldn’t decide if I wanted to eat the muesli cold or hot – the package gives directions for both.  I opted to soak the muesli in almond milk for 10 minutes and then sat down to enjoy my bowl.  What an awesome way to start my day!  The bowl of muesli was full of flavor in every bite.  I love the variety of ingredients – they all to go so well together.  I look forward to trying the museli hot and in recipes that call for oats or granola.
