Review: Earth Fare Brand Cookies

There have only been two occasions where I have had the opportunity to shop at an Earth Fare store.  Once I was on my way to visit my sister in Atlanta and we stopped at the store in Tennessee.  The other was when the brand new Earth Fare just opened up down the street from my house this week!  I am so excited about this store opening up, I can’t even begin to tell you!  Sure we have Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s locally, but they are both 15-20 minutes away from us.

I knew that heading over on opening day would be a crazy idea because I am sure that I am not the only one who wanted to go.  Yeah, the parking lot was just a little busy.

No worries, I put my patience cap on and headed on in!  Aside from some of my favorite gluten-free brands, I found that Earth Fare has their own store brand with some gluten-free products.

Jon dug right into the vanilla crème cookies!  He said they were very good and I have to agree – great texture and flavor.  The chocolate chip and ginger snap cookies are smaller, almost miniature size.  They are great for packing for a snack, lunch or even using crushed as a pie crust or whole as the crust to a personal size pie made with pudding and whipped cream.  The flavors of both are fantastic!  Best part about all three varieties is they are on sale right now for $2.50/package.  Normal retail price is $3.00/package, which is very reasonable for gluten-free packaged cookies.

The label on the back of the cookie packages does note that the products are made in the same factory as products containing wheat.  However, the gluten-free products are routinely tested using the ELISA method and have results coming back at less than 20ppm (as determined by the World Health Organization).

Earth Fare has locations in six states.  Click here to see the location closest to you. Have you tried Earth Fare brand gluten-free products?  What did you think?
