Review: Gimbal’s Harvest Mix Jelly Beans

I know that I have confessed my love of jelly beans here before.  I was doing really well avoiding them since some friends and I participated in a challenge this summer to get rid of some of the sugar in our diets.  As I was grocery shopping yesterday, I saw the display of Halloween candy in the middle of the store.  It is hard to avoid.  I swear it was calling my name as I walked by.  I had a plan to just glance over to see what, if anything was on sale, but that all went out the window when I saw the Gimbal’s Harvest Mix Jelly Beans.

More about these spectacular new jelly beans:

Experience the mouthwatering flavors of Fall with Gimbal’s limited edition Harvest Mix Jelly Beans. Every bag contains 7 wonderful Fall flavors like Harvest Spice, Pumpkin Pie, Roasted Marshmallow, Peach Cobbler, Red Delicious, Goblin Punch and Harvest Berry. Made with real fruit juice and always allergen free!

Of course I had to buy a bag, right?  I mean, I certainly couldn’t give a proper review without tasting each and every flavor.  I was in my own little heaven as I worked through this small bowl after lunch.

I think I like this combination of flavors better than the original.  They have a wonderful fall aroma and make me long for those cool, crisp fall days.

Gimbal’s facility is:

  • Peanut free
  • Tree nut free
  • Dairy free
  • Egg free

Another bonus?  They don’t use high fructose corn syrup.  The Gimbal’s Allergen Statement:

Gimbal’s Fine Candies facilities are free of these eight most common food allergens, eliminating the risk of cross contamination. Countless Gimbal’s consumers with allergies have personally thanked us for making our candies available to them. We are happy to create delicious treats that can be enjoyed by so many people.

Gimbal’s Harvest Mix can be purchased online or in select stores across the US.  After perusing the online website, I see that Gimbal’s now also has Sour Jelly Beans.  I think I need to locate some of those as well!

What is your favorite fall candy?

It has mineral oil listed as an ingredient; how safe it is to inject mineral oil? Even food grade?
