Review: Glutino Bagel Chips

I used to love bagel chips before I went on the gluten-free diet.  Bagels and bagel chips were two of my favorites.  I finally got a chance to try the new Glutino Original Bagel Chips the other day and to say that I loved them might be an understatement!

About Glutino & Gluten-Free Pantry

Glutino and Gluten-Free Pantry is a manufacturer and distributor specializing in gluten-free products. Since 1983, the mission of the Glutino Food Group has been to provide healthy gluten-free products and a healthy lifestyle to all those with celiac disease, gluten intolerance, wheat allergies and those who follow a gluten-free or wheat-free diet.

As a pioneer in the gluten-free industry, Glutino is committed to creating the best tasting gluten-free products. All our products such as our gluten-free crackers and gluten-free pretzels are made with only highest quality ingredients. Our stringent quality control processes go beyond industry standards and each of our products must pass an extensive internal testing process. Once samples are collected, they are sent to an external lab for independent testing. Our gluten-free products are not distributed until we verify acceptable levels of gluten at less than 20ppm (parts per million) through these tests.

We are proud to offer more than 80 gluten-free products in the following categories: Baking Mixes, Cereal, Cookies, Crackers, Frozen Bakery, Frozen Entrees, Frozen Pizza, Pretzels, and Snack Bars.

The original variety of the bagel chips are perfectly seasoned, crispy and leave you wanting more.  The ingredients:

INGREDIENTS: Bagel (tapioca starch, corn starch, potato starch, egg whites, cane sugar, canola oil, dried egg whites {egg whites, yeast, citric acid}, salt, guar gum, glucono-delta-lactone, yeast, pectin, sodium bicarbonate, sodium alginate, modified cellulose), vegetable oil (contains one or more of the following: sunflower oil, high oleic canola oil), salt.

The chips are free of dairy in addition to gluten.  The only negative I can find about these chips is that they don’t come in a bigger box!  The box says there is approximately 6 servings (1 oz. each) inside.  Well, I guess that depends on if you decide to share or not.  I may have forgotten my manners once I dug into these.  Good thing I am training for a couple of half marathons right now!  These chips would be great for making Chex Mix along with some Glutino yogurt or chocolate covered pretzels!

The bagels chips also come in parmesan garlic & cinnamon sugar.  The cinnamon sugar variety is new and is only available online at this point in time.  To find a store close to you, click here.  Make sure to follow Glutino on Facebook and Twitter for the latest news and product information.

Have you had a chance to try the new Glutino bagel chips?  What did you think?
