Review: Goodbye Gluten Wraps

Last summer I had the opportunity to sample the new gluten-free bread by Goodbye Gluten.  This new bread rivals the other gluten-free favorites on the market and now Goodbye Gluten has added wraps to their line-up.

There are 2 different varieties of wraps:

Multigrain – Goodbye Gluten Multigrain Wraps have everything in check when it comes to what matters most for those living gluten free. Now you can enjoy the distinctly rich flavor of multigrain wraps without worry. If you’re serving up gluten free breakfasts, lunches and dinners, then you can’t beat this wrap.

Plain – Goodbye Gluten Plain Wraps let your imagination run wild. These wonderful plain wraps provide unlimited possibilities for old and new recipes! Build a better breakfast. Create a new lunch-time sensation! Make any dinner a winner! No matter what you’re making with Goodbye Gluten Plain Wraps, you can be sure it’ll be gluten-free and tasty.

The wraps are certified gluten-free by the GFCO and are the perfect way to wrap up breakfast, lunch or dinner!  They are large, so they make a great burrito, chimichanga or sandwich wrap base. I chose to make a chicken, bean, cheese and avocado burrito with the Multigrain wrap for my first sampling.

I heated the wrap for 10-20 seconds in the microwave to make it a little more pliable.  After piling the ingredients on, I rolled the burrito up and heated in the toaster oven until it was warm.

No cracking!

I liked the burrito so much the first night I had it that I had the same thing the next night, but this time I used the Plain version of the wraps. Both wraps were equally tasty and I can’t wait to use them in more exciting ways.  Some of the ideas I have floating through my head are:

I am very impressed with how well these wraps hold up to rolling, wrapping, cutting and holding while eating.  They behave much like the gluten-filled tortillas we can no longer eat.

Goodbye Gluten wraps aren’t widely available yet, but I hope to hear that they are in the near future.  Have you seen them in stores near you?  What about the Goodbye Gluten bread?

This product sounds wonderful. I have not seen it in the stores here in Austin, Tx. If Goodbye Gluten was here, though, I would not be able to buy it for our family. They use Soy flour, which we cannot eat. We cannot handle that protein.

Too bad they don’t also manufacture an alternative without the soy flour.

These arrived in our grocery store a few months ago. My boys LOVE them. I was astonished by their similarity to our long lost gluten wraps–my husband (who is not gfree except at home) thought they were fabulous as well. Opened a lot of new meal options for us–glad our small town grocery brought them in.

      Samantha,

Do you mind sharing the store that is carrying them? I have many readers asking where they can find these wraps.

Publix, I’m in central Florida. I normally have to ask for items, but lately them seem to be adding new ones on their own. Just brought in Muellers GF spaghetti too. Just as an aside–Muellers puts on their website that they test their gfree products for gluten (to the standard of less than 20ppm)–it cooks easy, tastes good, and while we’ve only had it once, had no issue with it.
