Review: Pro Bar Core Protein Bars

I feel like I am constantly looking for protein bars that taste good and have ingredients that agree with my persnickety stomach/GI system. There are a few that I rotate between, but it is nice to change things up every once in a while. The other day after a hot run, my friend shared half of her Pro Bar Core Protein Bar with me. I was uber impressed and the bar was tolerated well by my system, so I wanted to share with you guys.

The Pro Bar Core Bars contain 20 grams of protein per bar (that’s roughly double what the bars I have been eating contain). The bars are plant-based, using soy protein as the protein source. More about the bars:

  • 4-6g fiber
  • Gluten-Free
  • 20g Protein
  • Chia and Flax Seeds
  • Organic
  • Non-GMO Verified
  • Recognizable Ingredients

There are four different varieties of the Core protein bars:

  • Mint Chocolate <—think Thin Mint cookies
  • Brownie Crisp
  • Cookie Dough
  • Peanut Butter Chocolate

If the other varieties are half as delicious as the Mint Chocolate…wow!  The bars are available in select stores across the US or online. *Please note that not all of the Pro Bar varieties are gluten-free.
