Review: Sam Mills Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Granola Bars

I have spotted Sam Mills Granola Bars in our local Meijer grocery stores for a while now, but I never picked up a box, until the other day, as I hadn’t heard much about them.  The box of five granola bars retails for $2.99, which is lower than many other brands.  The big question, of course, is how do they taste?

There were several different varieties available at my Meijer:

  • Peanut Butter
  • Fruit Mix
  • Blueberry
  • Trail Mix
  • Chocolate Chip

I knew Chocolate Chip would go over best with Jon, so I bought one box.  The granola bars are GMO free in addition to being gluten-free and taste similar to what I remember non-gluten-free granola bars tasting like.  The bars are packed full of chocolate and have a great flavor.  Jon really enjoyed them, so I know these won’t last long in our house.

High Maltose Corn Syrup, Chocolate (23%) (Sugar, Cocoa Mass, Cocoa Butter, Cocoa Powder, Emulsifier Soy Lecithin), Multigrain Flakes (Rice, Corn, Sugar,Salt), Rice Crispies (Rice, Sugar, Salt), Millet Crispies (Millet, Corn, Rice, Sugar,Salt), Vegetable Fat Non Hydrogenated, Fructose, Humectant Sorbitol, EmulsifierSoy Lecithin, Chocolate Flavour.

The Chocolate Chip Granola Bars can be purchased online, where I see they are overpriced or in Meijer stores.  I look forward to trying the other varieties in the near future.

Have you tried any of the Sam Mills Gluten-Free products?  Which ones?
