I have been hearing about Tom’s of Maine for years, but had never tried any of their products until recently when I received some complimentary samples in the mail. I received the following Tom’s of Maine products pictured below.
- · Long Lasting Deodorant Unscented
- · Beautiful Earth Long Lasting Deodorant
- · Naturally Clean Toothbrush
- · Spearmint Flat Floss
- · Beauty Bars: Daily Moisture, Relaxing, Sensitive
- · Gingermint Baking Soda with Propolis & Myrrh Toothpaste (fluoride free)
- · Botanically Bright Peppermint Toothpaste (SLS and fluoride free)
Of course the first thing I did before using the Tom’s of Maine products was check into the gluten-free status. This is the information I found on the website:
Aside from our liquid hand soap and body wash, which contain wheat protein, all other Tom’s of Maine products are gluten-free. We do not use casein or caseinate, MSG, wheat, oats, barley, rye, malt, spelt, kamut, HPP, or HVP. None of our flavor oils are grain-distilled. We do not use flour of any kind in our manufacturing process for conveyor belts or for any other purpose, and our containers are not dusted with flour before filling.
I quickly fell in love with the scents of the soaps – subtle and not overwhelming in the least. The deodorant smells great and does last long (as far as the odor protection goes), but I am used to using antiperspirant, so this wouldn’t be something I would use on a regular basis. The floss is awesome and I keep it in my purse for those emergency floss issues (seeds from fruit/protein bars). I haven’t tried the toothpaste yet as I just opened a new tube. I’ll make sure to let you know my thoughts once I do try it.
