Telling Your Childs School About Their Gluten Free Needs

As Celiac Disease continues to get diagnosed more and more often around the world, one trend that is really growing is more and more children are being diagnosed at really young ages and need to live on a gluten free diet.  This of course means that in addition to the normal worries of these children day-to-day lives, they will also have to deal with staying gluten free while in school.

If you find yourself in this situation, Free From has some great Gluten Free School Tips on how to deal with this, including a sample letter you can use, which is designed to help you explain to the school your child’s needs.

If you’ve been through this situation, I’d love to hear your thoughts.   Are the schools in your area pretty understanding and do they work with you to meet your child’s needs?
