Udi’s Debuting New Products Soon

Udi’s Gluten-Free has quickly grown to be one of the largest, most popular gluten-free companies in a relatively short period of time.  They debuted their first gluten-free bread and muffins almost 3 years ago and have exploded onto the market since then.  Udi’s Gluten-Free can now be found in many mainstream grocery stores across the United States, as well as in some restaurants such as Red Robin & Jason’s Deli.

Now there are several new products set to debut in the next month or so.  Those products are:

Three Frozen Pizzas – You can expect to see them in Whole Foods in December and additional retailers beginning in February 2012. Talk about the perfect gluten free lunch!

  • Pepperoni
  • Three Cheese
  • Margherita

Brownie Bites – We’re making it easy to pick up this tasty treat, all while sticking to your gluten free diet. Eat them on their own, or add some ice cream for a decadent dessert. Look for these new brownie bites in January 2012.

Vitamin Fortified Muffin Tops – These fortified muffin tops (name still TBD) are nutritionally minded to add a little something extra to your diet. Don’t worry…they still taste great! Starting in 2012, choose between blueberry or chocolate flavors to enhance your gluten free breakfast.

You can bet that I will be scouring my grocery stores for all of the above.  We love Udi’s pizza crust, so what a great way to improve upon an already fantastic product! Like they said in their description, this makes them easy to grab in the morning & take to work for lunch.  I have always wanted totry VitaTops, but they didn’t come out until after I started the gluten-free diet.  It is exciting to see a company that is making a version gluten-free!

In addition to Udi’s amazing products, they also have a pretty awesome community set up on their website.  If you haven’t checked it out yet, it is well worth your time to do so.  The community includes all kinds of tips, tricks and recipes in addition to a forum where you can chat with others who are gluten-free.

If you haven’t been able to find Udi’s Gluten-Free products in a store near you, check here for the closest location.  I have also heard that they are now being carried by Walmart Supercenters, but haven’t checked ours yet.

Do you have a favorite Udi’s Gluten-Free product?  Which of the new products are you most excited about?

Hearing all the positive reviews of Udi’s, I do wish that they had products that are also egg free. I’m not only GF but also casein/dairy free, egg free, soy free, peanut free, etc. and the multiple allergies make things quite challenging!

That certainly does make things more challenging. Have you tried products made by Enjoy Life? They have products free of the top 8 allergens.

THE BUNS ROCK! They actually taste like buns and have a texture that holds up to all of the challenges I’ve put them through. From Sloppy Joes to Italian sub sandwiches – this product rocks! Now IF they could/would distribute them to all restaurants that sell sandwiches – I’d be in heaven.

      Sonya,

Yes, I totally agree! Have you tried the buns at Red Robin? I am not sure if you have one close to you or not. I had a chicken caprese sandwich on an Udi’s bun there a few weeks back – so good!

      Connie,

Thank you for your sweet comment! I love the bagels as well! Nice that they can stay at room temp for traveling & eating on the go!

I wasn’t a huge bread person before being diagonsed so not eating it wasn’t a big deal. But I just recently went to Red Robin and got a grilled chicken sammie on the bun and they were awesome! I still only ate half of the bread then all the chicken, but I can’t wait to go back for a cheeseburger, yum! how I missed you cheeseburger.

@ Connie-thanks for saying the bagels were great. I will have to try them.

      Mary,

Me too! I don’t mind burgers without buns, but it will be nice just to be able to order it and have it that way once in a while!

      And yes, the bagels rock!
