When adjusting to the gluten-free diet, I’ve always felt that the toughest adjustment is finding gluten-free foods that can be taken “on the go.” Whether you are planning to travel or just spend a day away from home, having access to these foods is extremely important so you don’t get stuck in a really bad situation.
While reading a recent post on Seattle PI which lists 25 Naturally Gluten-Free Snacks, I found a number of great ideas for snacks which can be created, and it got me thinking a bit more about this topic. I think it is great that we are seeing some mainstream cereals becoming gluten-free (such as many of the Chex cereals), and they are great opportunities for good travel snacks. I’ve also always been a fan of Larabars and carrying trail mix, but both of those are not the healthiest choices available.
Out of curiosity, what are your favorite gluten-free travel snacks? Please let us know in the comments!

Bhuja Original snack mix is my fave these days. It’s not only gluten-free, as snack foods go, it’s also healthy!
I like the Bhuja snacks too! The green one is my favorite!
