Chili’s Gluten-Free Menu

Last Updated on March 14, 2023 by the Celiac-Disease.com Staff

One of my favorite restaurants to go to used to be Chili’s Grill and Bar. Unfortunately, many restaurants these days are off limits to me, or anyone with gluten intolerance, so I decided to go out and do some checking to see if Chili’s had some gluten-free options available.

Much to my relief, it turns out they do have a gluten-free menu, and their menu is very impressive. If you are interested, you can check out their gluten-free menu here (PDF). As I have yet to try their gluten-free menu, I went out and located the following review, discovered via the Examiner:

As in most restaurants the best service comes from the best wait staff. I have frequently visited Chili’s restaurants in Wilson, Goldsboro, and Raleigh and I have continually had very good service with knowledgeable wait staff and chefs.

I generally order a bunless hamburger, grilled salmon, or salmon with garlic and herbs. I usually request black beans and rice, corn, or fresh vegetables as my sides without additional sauce or butter. The allergen friendly menu clearly states how you should order your food and what you need to inform your waiter or waitress about in ordering.

The menu also clearly states that they cannot guarantee a Chili’s meal to be completely free of allergens because they do not have a dedicated allergen free or gluten-free cooking station. The experiences I have had at Chili’s have always been positive and my food has been delicious. But with all gluten-free dining outside of your kitchen, you need to be aware that cross contamination can easily happen, especially in large chain restaurants.

I’m sure many of our readers have also tried Chili’s gluten-free menu. We’d love for you to share your restaurant review in the comments!

As always, when dining out gluten-free, do your due diligence and make sure the staff understands your needs. There are very few restaurants that are 100% gluten-free, so cross-contamination is always a risk. If you don’t feel comfortable with what you are hearing from the staff, perhaps it is best to dine elsewhere.

I ordered from their gluten free menu and recieved my plate covered with deep fried onion rings!!! They changed my plate to another choice off the menu but by then my group was done eating and my second plate was not even thouroughly cooked! Never again.

I’m sorry to hear about your bad experience with Chili’s, but it is good to share this information here so others considering going to Chili’s will see it!

I ordered a steak from their “gluten free” menu and it came with a nice big, thick, buttery slice of Texas toast on top of my broccoli.

went to chili’s in Rochester mi.
ordered the gluten free chicken with rice and corn.

45 minutes my daughter my daughter was in the bathroom from gluten contamination. Chili’s is just not ready or able to deal with Celiac levels of gluten sensitivity at this point in time.
