When is the last time you went to a restaurant and knew that you could order more items on the menu than not? At Lazy Joe’s Fish and Chips in Las Vegas only 5 items on the menu are not gluten-free! Everything else; shrimp, cod, catfish, haddock, clams, oysters, scallops, popcorn shrimp and soft-shell crab, onion rings, coconut shrimp, calamari, chicken strips… are all safe for Celiacs or those who cannot have gluten!
So what can’t you have? Hushpuppies, clam chowder, hot wings, bread and malt vinegar. I haven’t missed any of them.
Joe’s (yes, there really is a Joe) recipe is his Dad’s family recipe that just happens to be gluten free. It wasn’t planned that way, but lucky for us, Joe recognized the need for delicious, non greasy, gluten free battered fish.
If you are visiting Las Vegas, don’t miss Lazy Joe’s Fish and Chips! It’s worth the visit, but be warned, the onion rings are addictive!
