As always, when dining out gluten-free, do your due diligence and make sure the staff understands your needs. There are very few restaurants that are 100% gluten-free, so cross-contamination is always a risk. If you don’t feel comfortable with what you are hearing from the staff, perhaps it is best to dine elsewhere.

I really miss Mongolian BBQ, but I am concerned about cross contamination on the grill. Anyone have experience with their food?

We do gluten-free Hibachi at a place in Atlanta. The whole grill table has to be gluten-free since the grill has to be safe for the gluten-free guests. The grill is cleaned thoroughly before the chefs start the cooking show. We’ve never had a problem there. I’ve not been to the HuHot place, nor do I know their set up so I can’t really answer about that place. Just wanted people to know that flat surface grills can be cleaned so that gluten-free meals can be prepared on them safely 😉
